Three teenagers are facing multiple charges after another teen was robbed on MacKenzie Street on Wednesday evening.

Greater Sudbury Police responded to the robbery at around 5 p.m. Feb. 15.

Two of the culprits — both male — exited a vehicle and approached the victim, a 17-year-old boy. Armed with a knife and baton, they demanded his money and mobile device. The victim gave the suspects his wallet and phone.

The suspects returned to their vehicle and drove away.

Greater Sudbury Police located the suspects' vehicle a short time later in the vicinity of where the robbery took place.

The two teenagers involved in the incident were placed under arrest, as well as a third young man who was also located in the vehicle.

A replica assault rifle, folding knife and baton were located in the suspects' vehicle.

The suspects, aged 17, 18 and 19 years old, have been charged with various offences, including mischief under $5,000, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and robbery using a firearm.

Police say this was an isolated incident, as the people involved know each other.
