Updated Aug. 6 at 3:42 p.m.: Greater Sudbury Police have re-opened the northbound and southbound lanes on Paris Street following a crash earlier this afternoon. It appears two vehicles were involved in the crash, but there is no word on injuries, if any.

Drivers are being encouraged to find alternate routes following a crash at the intersection of York and Paris streets this afternoon.
No word yet on the number of vehicles involved or the extent of injuries, but traffic is backed up in both directions.

Police @CGSParamedics @CGSFireServices on scene of collision Paris St/York St. Both lanes of Paris St heading towards @HSN_Sudbury are blocked. Only one lane of Paris St heading toward downtown is open. Traffic is backed up in both directions. Pls find alternative route.
