After receiving complaints regarding traffic along Hwy. 69N in Valley East and Capreol, the Traffic Management Unit undertook an enforcement initiative on August 18.
As a result of the initiative, 58 drivers were charged with offenses under the Highway Traffic Act and other provincial statutes. Of those 58 drivers, 12 charges were laid in relation to speeding in excess of 30 kilometres over the posted limit.
