Train derails due to washout in McDougall Township

OPP report no injuries or spills occurred so there are no public safety concerns

West Parry Sound OPP are reporting a CP Rail train derailment this morning due to a washout near Nobel, in McDougall Township. 

Responding to a call at 8:30 a.m. on September 23, officers confirmed a number of railcars had derailed near Felsman Drive. In a release, OPP said no injuries or spills occurred and as such, there are no public safety concerns.

CP Rail police have assumed control of the scene and CP crews have attended to repair the track and re-rail the cars.
