Updated: Accident scene now cleared after tractor-trailer jackknifed on Hwy. 17 on-ramp

The collision scene has been cleared, the MTO Twitter site @511ONNortheastern reported at 1 p.m. Monday.

The OPP said on one of their Twitter accounts at 11:38 a.m. Monday that the Highway 17 on-ramp to Highway 144 is closed due to a jack-knifed tractor-trailer in the Walden area. A tow truck is on scene. The detour from Highway 144 is Municipal Road 24 (Lively). "Take care on the roads ... still a bit slick," the OPP said.

There's been a collision involving a transport truck on Highway 17 at the junction of Highway 144 in the Walden area, said a tweet from the MTO Twitter site @511ONNortheastern at 11 a.m. Monday.

The eastbound on-ramp is closed as a result of the collision.
