It didn’t take long for Greater Sudbury Police to make arrests after receiving multiple complaints last night of people snooping around in the Bancroft-Moonlight area of Minnow Lake.

GSPS spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn told Sudbury.com that police received numerous calls last night of people poking around parked cars in the dark.

When police responded, they ended up arresting two men — ages 20 and 23 — for breaking into parked cars.

Both men face charges of trespass by night, possession of stolen property and theft under $5,000.

The two were released on a promise to appear. Their first court date is March 15.

Police are asking those who live in the area to check their vehicles. If you notice anything missing, you’re asked to contact police at 705-675-9171 ext. 6397.
