Two men stabbed after argument escalates

Two men were stabbed June 12 when a verbal argument between three men who were drinking escalated into a fight, said Greater Sudbury Police Service. The fight broke out at about 6:30 p.m. in a building on Lloyd Street.

Two men were stabbed June 12 when a verbal argument between three men who were drinking escalated into a fight, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The fight broke out at about 6:30 p.m. in a building on Lloyd Street.

One of the men picked up a knife and began stabbing one of the other men. The third man tried to intervene, but was stabbed in the face.

They received non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled on foot, but was found by police a short distance away and arrested. He is being held for a bail hearing. He is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous and breach of a court order.
