Two young people have been arrested and charged after being stopped in a stolen vehicle in West Nipissing.
On March 27, shortly before 2:30 a.m. members of the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Highway 17, West Nipissing.
Once the vehicle came to a stop, two young people fled into the bush, but were quickly located and arrested by police.
As a result of the investigation, a 12-year-old and 13-year-old, both from North Bay, were charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Both accused were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in May in North Bay.
