Greater Sudbury Police continue to follow up on possible sightings of a Sudbury woman who was reported missing on Monday.

Police spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn said officers are working to confirm when the last confirmed sighting of “Parisa” (no last name was provided) occurred.

“Ground and aerial searches will be considered by investigators once we have established a current point last seen,” Dunn said.

Yesterday, GSPS asked residents of the Corsi Hill neighbourhood to check their outbuildings for any sign of the woman, who was last seen at 10:30 a.m. April 7 in the Corsi Hill area.

Parisa is 39 years old and described as standing 5-4 and weighing 105 pounds, with long, dark brown hair, brown eyes and a scar on her forehead. She was wearing a burgundy hooded winter jacket with fur on the hood, black leggings, black snow pants and black boots.

There are concerns for Parisa's well-being.

“Police are asking the residents of Corsi Hill to check any sheds or outbuildings on their property for Parisa, who may be seeking shelter from the elements,” Greater Sudbury Police said in a tweet sent out overnight, as the city experienced a spring snowstorm.

Anyone with information related to Parisa's whereabouts is asked to contact police at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.
