Vehicle rollover on Hwy. 17 nets impaired driving charges

No injuries in single-vehicle collision, says provincial police

A Sudburian has been charged with impaired driving following a motor-vehicle rollover on Highway 17 on Jan. 16, said provincial police.

No one was injured in the collision.

The driver was found to be impaired and taken to police headquarters for further testing.

As a result, the driver is charged with operation while impaired and careless driving.

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 9 in Sudbury.

The accused was issued both a 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
