Violent offender picked up on Canada-wide warrant

A man described by police as a violent, repeat offender was apprehended by police on Wednesday, July 24, at the Rumball Terrace apartment complex.

Michael Boudreau, 45, was wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant of Apprehension and Suspension of Statutory Release.

The man was taken into custody by local police and whatÂ?s called the provincial R.O.P.E. squad.

The provincial squad is a unit mandated to apprehend persons who have violated conditions of their release from federal or provincial correctional facilities, including parole, or who have escaped from or failed to return to custody.
