A federal offender known to frequent the North Bay and Sudbury areas has been apprehended in Oshawa.
This, according to a news release issued by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad, which announced today that Jeffery Avery, 25, was arrested by the Durham Regional Police Service.
He is currently serving a three-year and six-day sentence for Forcible Confinement, Robbery, Assault with a Weapon, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Trafficking Schedule I and II, Identity Theft and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order.
In their media release, the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad thanked the public and media for their assistance in this investigation.

The OPP is seeking the public’s help in tracking down a federal offender who breached his release conditions and vanished.
A Sept. 20 release from the provincial police service stated the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad is seeking the public’s help in tracking down Jeffery Avery.
The 25-year-old is described as standing 6-0 and weighing 149 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
He has prominent tattoos on his neck. Avery also has four tattoos on his right forearm: the words “Avery” and “Timeless,” roses and praying hands, as well as a cross tattooed on his right hand. On his left forearm, he has tattoos of a star and the word “Family,” as well as the words “Respect and Honour” on his left wrist.
Avery is serving a three-year, six-day sentence for being found guilty of forcible confinement, robbery, assault with a weapon, theft of a motor vehicle, trafficking in a Schedule 1 and 2 substance, identity theft and failing to comply with a probation order.
Police say Avery is known to frequent the Oshawa, Sudbury and North Bay areas.
