Webbwood man charged with impaired, prohibited driving

A 24-year-old man from Webbwood faces impaired driving charges after he was stopped on Highway 17 during traffic enforcement, said provincial police.

On Nov. 1, at 2:09 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 17 in Webbwood and determined the driver had consumed alcohol. He was arrested and taken to the Espanola detachment for further testing.

As a result, the driver was charged with operation while impaired and operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code.

He was issued a 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension (ADLS) and the vehicle was impounded.
