A young woman will find out in late October if sheÂ?s going to jail for a series of assaults and other criminal indiscretions.

Crystal Tyson, 20, pleaded guilty to assaulting one young man and two young women during a period between early February and early July.

In the first incident in February, she assaulted a young man by kneeing him in the chest seven or eight times and then punching him in the face, said assistant Crown attorney Andrew Slater.

She told the victim that if he didnÂ?t repay her some money he owed her she would inflict even more serious injuries in the future.

Several weeks later, Tyson threatened a woman who was waiting for a bus at the downtown Greater Sudbury Transit terminal.

Tyson got off a bus, approached the woman and started swearing at her, again demanding money owed and threatening to harm her if money wasnÂ?t turned over.

In late April, Tyson grabbed the wrists of another young woman in the downtown area and pushed her up against a garbage can.

In early July, another young woman called police complaining of her income tax refund cheque disappearing.

A police investigation indicated Tyson had forged a signature on the income tax cheque for over $600 and cashed it.

Both defence counsel Alex Toffoli and Slater agreed a pre-sentence report would be appropriate and it might lead to some understanding of why Tyson was behaving like she was during this time period.

Justice Guy Mahaffy agreed and ordered the report be prepared before Tyson returns to court October 30 for a sentencing hearing.
