ESPANOLA–Sunday at 6:15 pm, a westbound Huron Central Railway freight train derailed behind a house located on Highway 17, Webbwood, approximately 100 hundred metres east of Birch Lake Rd.

A driver of a pickup truck was arrested by Greater Sudbury Police June 11 around 2 am when he struck a traffic signal post at the corner of Paris and Brady St. Police say the driver was attempting to turn onto Brady St. from Paris St.

Greater Sudbury Police completed a prostitution sweep June 2 and 3, arresting 10 men and one woman. The accused have been charged with communicating for the purposes of engaging in prostitution.

A 63-year old Chelmsford woman is dead following a crash on Hwy. 144 in Doyle Twp., north of Gogama around 10 am June 3. Verena Atchinson was pronounced dead on the scene after her vehicle left the road and veered into a ditch.
