Police in Greater Sudbury, in partnership with the health unit, will be targeting child car seats in the upcoming weeks as par of an education campaign surrounding new child car seat legislation.

While walking alone on Louis St. in Sudbury last night around 1:25 am, a 14-year-old boy was approached from behind by three unknown males, beaten and robbed.

The name of a man who was killed on Hwy 637 was released yesterday after a post mortem examination. Robert Allan Epps, 55, of Lively was killed on Sunday when his vehicle smashed into a rock cut. Epps was the only one in the vehicle.

Police are on the lookout for a lone male who entered Melvin Variety at 400 Melvin St. wielding a knife and threatening staff at around 9:45 pm on Saturday. The man obtained no money from the till and fled on foot following the incident.

Greater Sudbury Police have arrested a man wanted on three outstanding arrest warrants for robberies earlier in the month. The 25-year-old, of no fixed address, was arrested without incident on Cedar St. Thursday.
