A 46-year-old Hanmer woman is dead after drowning in Lake Panache Monday morning. Police say the victim was staying at a family camp on the lake and fell into the water while washing her hair.

KFC outlet robbed

The Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet on Kathleen Street was robbed at about 8:40 pm Monday evening. A lone male entered the store with a knife and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
