The RCMP have charged a Barrieman who is a former Measurement Canada Ontario director with 11 Criminal Code offences related to fraudulent use of government funds to buy hockey cards.

Greater Sudbury Police fined 4,426 drivers in 2004 for speeding. Many of these offences took place in areas where police frequently patrol such as Municipal Road 35 and Regional Road 80. The number has almost doubled from 2003.

Two St. Charles residents are believed dead after their farmhouse burned down early Monday morning. As of late Monday afternoon, police had not yet confirmed the identity of two bodies found at the 262 Casimir Rd. residence.
