Coroner investigating SRH patient's death

BY HEIDI ULRICHSEN [email protected] Sudbury Regional Police are investigating the bizarre circumstances behind the Dec. 30 death of a patient at St. Joseph's Health Centre on behalf of the Ontario Coroner's Office.

The RCMP have charged a Barrieman who is a former Measurement Canada Ontario director with 11 Criminal Code offences related to fraudulent use of government funds to buy hockey cards.

Man stabbed on Lloyd Street

A 19-year-old Sudbury man suffered non life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed in the head while walking on Lloyd Street Monday night. This is Sudbury's first stabbing of the year.

An admitted drug dealer was sentenced to 32 months in a federal penitentiary for his role in planning and executing a break and enter where 20 handguns were stolen from a residence and then sold to criminals.

One man dead following fire

A fire, which broke out on Wednesday in the Champlain Lodge located at 82 Ignatius Street took the life of a male resident. The fire started on the second floor in a room. It was contained to just the one room.
