In a bizarre twist, two men from the same vehicle were charged with drunk driving early Monday morning.

A date has been set for a preliminary hearing into charges laid against a veteran Greater Sudbury Police officer.

Greater Sudbury Police are reminding citizens that as of the beginning of December, parking on the streets between midnight and 7 am is against the law. The purpose is to have streets open for snow removal.

The Ontario Provincial Police Association (OPPA) is applauding the move by the McGuinty government to improve the quality of services provided by private investigators, bouncers, bodyguards and security guard companies.

The City of Greater Sudbury is installing new traffic signals at the intersection of Municipal Road 35 and Elizabeth Street/Pilon Street in Chelmsford. The new signals will begin flashing as a warning to motorists starting today.
