A convicted pedophile police say is a high risk to re-offend has moved into SudburyÂ?s downtown core. Shawn Patrick Abbs, 30, has a criminal record for serious sexual offences involving young and teenage boys.

A Sudbury man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a developmentally challenged teenager. Peter Paradis, 39, was found guilty Thursday of forcing anal and oral sex on the teenager last Aug. 12. Paradis will be sentenced Nov. 17.

A Sudbury man serving time in a federal penitentiary for manslaughter for the past six years is back behind bars.

Two young men from Sudbury will return to court Nov. 12 to see what their punishment will be for firing paint balls at strangers earlier this summer.
