Miner's inquest hears testimony
A coroner's inquest into the death of a 47-year-old miner in May 2006 is underway this week at the Sudbury Court House. Ray Campeau was working on a shaft-sinking project at the Podolsky Mine, northeast of Sudbury when the accident happened.

Evading taxes costs pair
Two Greater Sudbury area residents have been charged as a result of failing to file their tax returns, the Sudbury Tax Services Office announced. Matteo Malerba of Sudbury was fined a total of $4,000 and given 12 months to pay.

Drugs confiscated in Minnow Lake
A drug investigation conducted by the Greater Sudbury Police Service led them to the Minnow Lake area where a search warrant was executed. Police seized 84 grams of marijuana, valued at $1,500, and $2,050 of Canadian Currency.
