The Greater Sudbury Police Service is currently in the process of investigating a sexual assault which occurred at a private residence in the Donovan area. An adult female was sexually assaulted by a 39-year-old male from Toronto.

An off duty officer was in the area of the New Sudbury Shopping Centre (NSSC) around 5:15 pm Friday night when he observed a suspicious male exit the shopping centre and enter a vehicle.

At approximately 6:45 pm last night an off duty officer was in the area of Barrydowne and Hawthorne when he observed three 14-year-old males spray painting the old Cedar Hut Restaurant Building.

Officers from the Sudbury and Espanola Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police will be out in full force during the Spring Seatbelt Campaign, which is set to begin April 16 and will run through until April 27.

UPDATE - The school has now been cleared and no bomb was located. Members of GSPS Criminal Investigations Branch are continuing the investigation.
