Hwy 69 South closed after fatal collision
Update - Highway 69 South reopened Friday night at 10 pm. Two people lost their lives as a result of a collision involving three tractor-trailers on Highway 69, two kilometers north of the Killarney turnoff, at 3:30 am Wednesday morning.

Sexual assault victim asks to be identified
Dennis Rivet, 43, of Coniston, was in Sudbury court Friday on charges of sexual assault against his stepdaughter over a ten year period from the time the girl was five. At 15 the girl moved out of the home. She is now in her late teens.

Further allegations of sexual impropriety have led to the arrest of Father Bernard Cloutier, 66, of North Bay. Bernard Cloutier has been charged with five counts each of indecent assault on a male, and gross indecency.
