Greater Sudbury Police news release - Members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service are investigating a robbery which occurred at the Pioneer Gas Bar on Lasalle Blvd on June 4 at approximately 9:25 pm.

A new program aimed at recruiting community volunteers to be the eyes and ears of the Greater Sudbury Police Service could make a difference in the level of crime in the communities of Copper Cliff and Walden, said a news release.

Missing Person Nancy Burbidge has been located and is in good health. On Monday May 28th 2007 at approximately 11:00 AM, Nancy Burbidge was last seen leaving the Bank of Montreal (Supermall) on Lasalle Blvd, said a news release.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service arrested and charged 6 females (ages range from 21 to 46 years) and a 37-year old male (all from the City of Greater Sudbury) in a Prostitution sting, said a news release.

A taxi driver was robbed by two men on May 25 at 1:00 am. The driver picked both men up at Brady Square and was told to take them to an Address on Jean Street.

YMCA Sudbury learned from local police on May 24 that employee David Ward had been charged with accessing and possession of child pornography. The police notified YMCA Sudbury prior to making a public announcement of his arrest.

Following a lengthy investigation, officers of the Greater Sudbury Police Service's cyber crime unit charged a A 40-year-old Sudbury man with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.
