Drivers on The Kingsway might have been startled to see Greater Sudbury Police officers in full combat gear Tuesday afternoon on a hill across the street from Betty Boop's Diner.

The Traffic Management Unit has charged a 26 year old male with driving a motor vehicle without a licence and operating a motor vehicle without insurance while operating a pocket bike on Oak Street in Sudbury.

On the 17th of April 2007 at 6:43 pm Greater Sudbury Police responded to a Robbery at Melvin Variety in the city. The clerk was confronted by a female party with a metal object, who made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Two parties have been arrested in relation to a rash of vandalism that occurred on Kingsway, Lasalle Blvd. and Barrydowne Rd. in Greater Sudbury.

There will be a public meeting for residents of Ward 3 on Thursday, April 26, to discuss police and safety issues. The meeting will be held at Levack Public School Mr.

Escaped federal offender Brent Dowdall has been arrested without incident in New York State this morning by police.

A second twelve year old male responsible for a garbage bin fire located at 99 Dow Drive, Copper Cliff has been arrested and charged with arson.
