A member of the Greater Sudbury Police Service has been charged with one count of sexual assault following an investigation by the province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU).

Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested after leading police on a chase Feb. 25 around 6 am. Greater Sudbury Police say the suspects were seen driving erratically in the Beatty St. area.

A man was beaten up at the transit terminal in downtown Sudbury when he refused to let two people use his cell phone. Police have charged two Greater Sudbury men, 23 and 24-years-old with assault and breach of probation. The incident happened Feb.

BY KEITH LACEY Kevin Ambler and Marcel Langlois made a suicide pact and both ingested huge amounts of morphine and pills 18 months ago. Langlois died, but Ambler lived and was charged with assisting a suicide.

A Greater Sudbury man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly trying to strangle his girlfriend Wednesday evening. Members of Greater Sudbury Police were dispatched to a Douglas St. residence around 7:45 pm on Feb.

BY KEITH LACEY A man with more than 50 convictions for property crimes will spend another five months behind bars after admitting to stealing a bag containing $7,000 in cash from a vehicle in downtown Sudbury in January.

On Feb. 20 around 3 pm, a vehicle was spotted in a ditch along Frood Rd. Police say a 50-year-old man was behind the wheel. Officers found evidence he was impaired.

A 50-year-old Sudbury man has been charged with theft under $5,000 for an incident at Wal-Mart. It is alleged the man removed about 13 wrist watches from a store counter and concealed them.

About $28,000 worth of surveying equipment is missing from CVRD Inco property. Carmen Construction, a company contracted by CVRD Inco, reported a break and enter at an office trailer. Greater Sudbury Police are investigating.
