“Alex is a player that we really coveted in this year's draft, and we are really excited to add him to our highly talented group of forwards and to our team in Sudbury,” said Rob Papineau, VP and general manager. “He is very smart and plays the game with speed, high skill, and a high compete level.”
Assadourian said he is eager to meet his coaches, teammates and the fans of Sudbury.
"I'm so excited to take the next step in my hockey career,” said Assadourian.
Assadourian is from Stouffville, ON and was selected 37th overall from the York-Simcoe Express. He had a tremendous 2019-20 season and notched 40 goals, 30 assists for 70 points in 41 games, said the Wolves.
