The event will offer a different experience for people. Participants will pay a $5 administration fee and have the opportunity to get closest to the pin. Instead of a golf cup, a hula-hoop will be the target.

Participants will also be entered into a draw. The draw will take place at the Practice Tee from noon - 4 p.m. on Sat, Sept. 6.

The second place winner will claim two clubhouse tickets and spending money for a Toronto Blue Jay game in late September.

The first place winner will advance to a marathon golf match against Z-103?s Rick Wyman at the Pine Grove Golf Course on Sunday, Sept. 14.

If the winner can last the day with the ?Ricoman? and complete a minimum of 50 holes of golf, he will win two Toronto Maple Leaf platinum seats and spending money at the Air Canada Centre later this year.

Allstate Insurance has donated the tickets for the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs.

Volunteers from both organizations will be collecting pledges for Wyman.

The event is open to anyone in the area.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Practice Tee and will be handed out at various Your Independent Grocers stores across the City of Greater Sudbury.

The Redmen are in the process of raising funds to cover some of the costs associated with travelling.

If successful, the Redmen will travel to Florida and take on several American teams during an extended tour.

The Redmen currently have a core of 10 players who have been diligently training since May for the upcoming season. The team will begin tryouts the first week of September to complete their roster.

All participants from the Positive Leisure Activities for Youth (PLAY) administered by the Human League will be entered into a draw with their guardian for an exclusive trip to a major sporting or cultural event anywhere in Canada.
