The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that their second round selection in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, Kocha Delic, has committed to the hockey club.
“We are thrilled to sign Kocha with the Wolves,” said Sudbury Wolves VP and General Manager Rob Papineau.
“He is a very skilled and fast player who has a relentless work ethic and plays the game with an outstanding motor and commitment to both ends of the ice. He is a creative offensive player and is a player we had in our top 10 on our draft list. To be able to draft him and sign him is very fortunate for our team and our fans.”
The 16-year-old Delic is a 5-10, 172 lb. centre who played his 2019-20 season with the Toronto Titan Midget AAAs. Through 59 games, he scored 31 goals and added 45 assists for 76 points becoming an offensive leader on his team, while also adding 58 PIMS.
“I’m proud and honoured to sign with the Sudbury Wolves organization,” said Delic. “I can’t wait to get to Sudbury to meet all the players, staff, and fans. I’m excited to get things started on this new journey in my hockey career.”
Delic is the second player from the 2020 OHL Priority Selection that has committed to the Wolves organization as the Wolves announced Tuesday that first-round selection David Goyette has also committed to the club.
Wolves fans will get their first opportunity to see both David Goyette and Kocha Delic in action this fall at the Wolves Main Training Camp. Details are still to be determined.
