Another loss was recorded for the Sudbury Wolves Saturday night when the pack was visiting the Barrie Colts in Ontario Hockey League action.
At the end of the night it was a 5 to 2 win for the Colts to keep the Wolves in seventh place in the OHL Eastern Conference. It was the second loss in two days for Sudbury, which also recorded a loss from the London Knights on Friday.
Barrie opened up the scoring in the first period with a goal by Chris Grisolla at 6:30. It was followed shortly after when Ethan Cardwell scored at 12:21.
Wolves did not score in the first period and it was 2-0 for Barrie heading into the second period.
Sudbury took action.
Quentin Musty scored for the Wolves at 13:45 with assists from David Goyette and Kocha Delic. That was the only goal in the second period.
Score was 2-1 for Barrie heading into the third period and that's when the Colts took advantage of Sudbury penalties to enjoy a couple of power plays.
Barrie's Jacob Frasca scored on a power play at 3:16 with the game winning goal.
Barrie's Braden Hache scored on another power play at 8:28 to score the insurance goal.
Sudbury's David Goyette scored a short handed goal at 11:23 hoping to keep Sudbury in the game. It was assisted by Kocha Delic. That was it for Sudbury.
At 17:24 Ethan Cardwell scored again for Barrie, this time on an empty net.
The Wolves are back in action on Wednesday March 15, hosting the Soo Greyhounds at 7:05 p.m. at the Sudbury Community Arena.
