The Rayside-Balfour Canadians dropped their second straight game against the Timmins Rock on Nov. 19.

Canadians’ captain Brady Maltais picked up the first goal of the game — and his first of the season — short-handed, but it was goaltender David Bowen who earned the first star for stopping 40 of 41 shots during regular time.

Rayside held the lead for the whole game until the Rock’s Josh Dickson notched a marker with four minutes left in the third to send the game to a shoot-out.

It was Dickson again who came through for the Rock to give Timmins the 2-1 win.

It was second consecutive game that the Canadians only scored one goal, though both of those goals were short-handed.

Combined with the Canadians’ loss on Nov. 16, Timmins is now up two games to none in the six-game series. The Canadians travel to Timmins for games at McIntyre Arena tonight and tomorrow night.

Game time is 8:30 p.m.

Both games can be viewed on HockeyTV.com.
