The Sudbury Wolves announced Thursday the return of Kyle Capobianco to their roster after the season opening weekend.
Capobianco was cut from the Arizona Coyotes camp this week. He has played in all 68 regular season games for the Wolves the past two seasons, registering seven goals and 36 assists with 58 penalty minutes in last year’s campaign.
Starting his fourth season with the team, Capobianco was the Coyotes' first defenceman drafted in the 2015 NHL draft, No. 63 overall.
The Wolves are preparing for two home games this weekend. On Friday night, the Wolves host divisional rivals the Barrie Colts at 7 p.m. at Sudbury Arena. The Wolves are looking forward to a new era in this 20-year-old rivalry, the team said in a news release.
On Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., the Kitchener Rangers will make their only appearance this season.
