Cards cap off perfect campaign with NOSSA gold

The St. Charles College boy’s hockey team had yet another tremendous season, capped off with a victory at the NOSSA championship.

The team finished the regular undefeated with a 13-0 and record. In the playoffs the boys defeated St. Benedict’s in semi-final and Confederation in city final to capture yet another SDSSAA city championship.  

At the NOSSA championship in Sault St. Marie the Cards continued their winning ways by going a perfect 4-0 including a 3-0 win in the final against Superior Heights from the Soo.  

The team is now preparing to represent SDSSAA and NOSSA at the upcoming OFSAA championship beginning March 19 in Collingwood Ontario.

Cardinals players receiving awards included:

  • Matthew Belanger – SDSSAA Leading Scorer and First Team Allstar
  • Bryceton Lalonde – SDSSAA MVP and Playoff MVP
  • Riley Ouelette and Brody Davidon – SDSSAA Lowest Goals Against Average
  • Tanner Webkamigad – SDSSAA Best Defenseman and First Team Allstar
  • Callum Roque – NOSSA MVP
