The race was twice as long, and Sudbury's Collin Cameron was just as good, as the Paralympian claimed his second bronze medal of the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games on March 15.
Less than a week removed from winning his first medal in his first Games, Cameron was at it again, winning bronze in the 15-km biathlon.
The Sudburian kicked off his first Paralympic Games with a bronze medal in the 7.5-km sitting biathlon, and followed that up with another impressive performance in the 15-km event, crossing the finish line in a time of 50:59.1 while incurring just a single shooting penalty along the way.
It's been a successful Games on the trails for Canadian athletes as P.E.I. native Mark Arendz took gold in biathlon, winning the 15-km standing race. The win was the fourth medal of the games for Arendz, who had already taken a silver and bronze in other biathlon events, along with a bronze in the cross country ski sprint.
The 29-year-old now owns six career Paralympic medals.
On the women's side of things, Prince Albert, Sask. athlete Brittany Hudak won her first Paralympic Games medal in the biathlon as well, taking bronze with a time of 41:20.7 in the women's 12.5-km standing race.
