Sudbury Wolves winger Kieron Walton picked up his second goal of the season in the Pack's Oct. 5 loss to the Barrie Colts.

The Sudbury Wolves were down south on Saturday night against the Barrie Colts, just one night after a hard-fought victory over the Peterborough Petes.

Unfortunately for the Wolves, they couldn’t duplicate their success from the night before.

Nate Krawchuk got the nod in goal for the Wolves while Ben Hrebik was in net for the Colts.

Sudbury dominated play in the first period, but despite outshooting Barrie by a margin of 12-4, the teams remained tied 0-0 after the first 20 minutes of play.

Just over five minutes into the second period, Evan Passmore scored his second goal of the season, giving his Barrie Colts a 1-0 lead.

Less than a minute later Barrie extended their lead to 2-0 thanks to Zach Wigle scoring his first goal of the campaign, giving the Colts a 2-0 lead with one period remaining in the game.

The Pack spent a good portion of the third in the penalty box, and couldn’t get much going in the period, but Kieron Walton scored his second of the season at the 11:52 marker of the third to cut into Barrie’s lead, making the score 2-1.

That was as close as Sudbury would get, however, as they fell on the road to the Barrie Colts by a score of 2-1.

With the loss, the Sudbury Wolves now hold a record of two wins and two losses on the season.

The Wolves next take to the ice in Peterborough on Oct. 11 to take on the Petes again with the puck drop scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
