The Sudbury Wolves have brought in Walden native Darryl Moxam as an associate coach with the team.
Moxam played for four years in the OHL’s Peterborough Petes, Oshawa Generals and with the Sudbury Wolves before completing his bachelors in business at Acadia University while playing for the Axemen.
Following his playing career, Moxam moved behind the bench with the Rayside-Balfour Sabrecats of the NOJHL as Assistant coach before taking the Head Coach of the Sudbury Junior Wolves of the NOJHL.
He has served as head coach of the Sudbury Minor Midgets AAA and as the associate coach with the Laurentian Voyageurs for three seasons where he ran and worked with the defense group prior to joining the Wolves in 2016-2017 as the Assistant coach the past two season.
“Darryl is a quality person that I have known since 1992 in Peterborough,” said head coach Cory Stillman. “He has been a consistent part of our hockey club for the past two seasons and knows our players well. He understands the game, the league and what it takes to succeed at this level. I am very confident that he will contribute tremendously to our program as our Associate Coach moving forward.”

With just under seven weeks before training camp opens Aug. 28, Wolves first overall draft pick Quinton Byfield makes his debut at training camp and versus the Ottawa 67s on Aug. 31 Friday night during Rib Fest.
