Duhamel and Radford second after short program

Canadian figure skating pair Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford skated to a second place finish in the pairs short program at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships on April 1.

Canadian figure skating pair Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford skated to a second place finish  in the pairs short program at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships on April 1.


The Canadian duo were the last pair on the ice on Friday and didn't disappoint, scoring a 78.18 and finishing in second behind Chinese pair Wenjing Sui and Cong Han (80.85).

Duhamel and Radford will be back on the ice tomorrow for their free skate program, and will be the 14th pair to skate in the 16-pair field.

The two will take the ice at around 3:10 p.m. for their warm-up and their program begins at 3:27 p.m.

Canadian Patrick Chan is currently in third in the men's competition after earning a score of 94.84 in his short program. Chan sits behind Spain's Javier Fernandez (98.52) and Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu (110.56).

Chan is back on the ice this evening at 10:43 p.m. for his free skate.
