You might have to rub your eyes if you’re in the stands for the Sudbury Five’s Jan. 14 match against the Windsor Express. That’s because for the game, the Five won’t be sporting their usual jerseys — they’ll be decked out in special Sudbury Wolves-themed uniforms.

After this special crossover game, the Five’s unique jerseys will be auctioned off to support Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.

“During the game, these jerseys will be available to purchase through an in-house silent auction,” the team said in a news release. “Prior to the start of the game, president of the Sudbury chapter of Cystic Fibrosis, Robert McCarthy, will join us for a ceremonial tip-off.”

Headed into the third game of the season, the Five are riding on back-to-back wins over the Oakland County Pharaohs this past weekend.

“Montell McRae was named player of the game after Saturday's win (122 - 96), where he played 21 minutes, hitting nine points, seven rebounds, and a 57.1 field goal percentage,” the Five said. “Jaylen Bland was on fire this weekend as he hit 13 three-pointers and had a total of 49 points between both games against the Pharaohs, being named player of the game after Sunday's win (125 - 119).”

Kids 10 and under receive admission for only $10 all season long. Tickets for Saturday's game are on-sale now at the Sudbury Arena box office or online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets

Following Saturday’s game, the FIVE will hit the road for a four-game road trip starting Jan. 19 with visits to the London Lightning and the Windsor Express, before returning home for a Feb. 12 match.
