The Cambrian College womens volleyball team
is the best in Ontario again after winning the Ontario Colleges
Athletic Association (OCAA) title over the weekend at Nipissing
College.
The Golden Shield bounced the Humber College
Hawks three sets to one to win the OCAA womens volleyball
championship. Cambrian won by scores of 25-20, 25-19, 22-25 and
25-13.
OCAA Rookie of the Year, Devon West was named
the tournament MVP. Kristin Martel and Nikki Cambridge were
named to the tournament all-star team.
This was the third provincial crown for the
Cambrian squad in the last five years.
The team will now head to the Canadian
Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) National Championships in
Quebec City from March 10-12 at College F-X Garneau.
