On a 15-game running streak, the Greater Sudbury Cubs started the year off on top of the 118-team Canadian Junior Hockey League.
In their inaugural 2025 rankings, the Canadian Junior Hockey League placed the Greater Sudbury Cubs at the top of its list, with a record of 29-2-1-1.
In second place was the Melfort Mustangs of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, which is on a 17-game heater with a record of 28-4-0-0.
At No. 3 is the Leamington Flyers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, whose record is 30-5-2-1.

The Canadian Junior Hockey League is a national organization made up of nine Junior A leagues from Alberta to the Maritimes, representing 118 teams and more than 2,500 players.
