For the first time in many years, the Sudbury District Secondary Schools? Athletic Association will hold an all-star hockey game.

Tonight?s contest is set to begin at 8 pm at the T.M. Davies Memorial Arena in Walden.

For more than a decade, the league has sponsored an East/West game, but this year?s game features the top players in an all-star format in the 13-team loop.

The East Conference team, comprised of the top players from the Chelmsford Flyers, Lasalle Lancers, L?Horizon Aigles, Confederation Chargers, Notre Dame Alouettes and Macdonald-Cartier Panthers, will be coached by Mickey Cooney, Tim Dube and managed by Liane Laquerre from Notre Dame.

The Western Conference team, comprised of players from Manitoulin Mustangs, Espanola Spartans, Lo-Ellen Park Knights, Lockerby Vikings, Lively Hawks and St. Benedict Bears, will be coached by Lockerby?s Dave Winsa and Jake Tapper.

The best players from St. Charles are not participating as the team is committed to an out-of-town tournament this weekend.

Admission for tonight?s big game is $2 for students and $3 for adults. Tickets will be available at the door.
