Jaguars rally in final to take gold at Marymount tourney

Félix-Ricard team overcomes seven point final set deficit to win

The École catholique Félix-Ricard Jaguars won the gold medal in the Boys A Division during the Marymount Academy Intermediate Volleyball Tournament Oct. 12.

 

The École catholique Félix-Ricard Jaguars won the gold medal in the Boys A Division during the Marymount Academy Intermediate Volleyball Tournament Oct. 12.

The Jaguars were on fire and excelled on the court. As a result, they qualified for the Boys A gold medal game and faced St. Benedict School. 

In the third game of the final set, École Félix-Ricard was trailing by a score of 8-1. Following the change of sides, the tide was reversed and the Félix Jaguars started their comeback.

The Jaguars gradually caught up, one point at a time and were able to leave the Marymount Academy gymnasium with gold medals around their necks. 

The team is made up of Sean Jansen, Brett Lafortune, Jonah Rouselle, Jacob Brunette, Zacharie Brunette, Nathan Deslaurier, Jérémie Leclair, Yanick Loiselle and Noah Brouillard. 

They are coached by Barbara Ann Brouillard and Marco Smith.
