The Junior Spartans are going into the quarterfinals this Saturday after closing out the regular season in first place. The Spartans finished first in the OSEL U16 AA Division and they’re looking to host the quarterfinals match this Saturday, July 16 at James Jerome Field against the Quinte Skyhawks at 4 p.m.
The game that brought them on top during the regular season was against the Clarington Knights, where they defeated the Knights 60-1 and acquired first position in the OSFL U16 AA Division for the playoffs.
By scoring an average of 34 points and giving up only nine points per game, the Spartans secured the field advantage for both the quarterfinals and the semifinals. The league finals will be played in London on August 6.
Tickets are available for Saturday’s playoff game at the gate for $10. Kids 12 and under get in free.
