Northern cricket action continued Sept. 21-22 as the Timmins Tigers Cricket Club made the journey to the Nickel City to battle it out with Kings Cricket Club Sudbury.
With support from Popular Pizza, the Fly Sudbury Cafe Lounge and TD Canada Trust, the friendly three-match series was played at the cricket grounds in Capreol.
Although the results were in favour of Kings Cricket Club Sudbury, “Timmins … definitely were very challenging to play and all the games were full of thrill till the last minute.”
Kings Cricket sent a shout out to their sponsors (and Sudbury.com) and the City of Greater Sudbury for their support of the one-day event.
“We look forward to seeing the Timmins and other northern teams again very soon and playing them is a pleasure,” said Kings spokesperson Gurpreet Broca.
Lucky fans and players also received free swag from Kings Cricket.
