Laurels tumble into medals in Scarborough

Symantha Welsh is continuing to show signs of very rapid progress, vaulting from a third-place finish at the North Bay Gymtrix Classic in early June to secure a silver medal at the well-established event in Scarborough.

“Symantha is coachable and a dedicated worker,” Coach Michelle Seanor said. “Her hard work definitely paid off this weekend.”

Tristyn Ross also garnered a silver medal, finishing second in the Intermediate Interclub girls event, with Halley Baker just one spot back in the Beginner Interclub girls grouping.

Jay Norrie rounded things out from a local perspective, placing fourth in the Intermediate Interclub Boys division.
