The Sudbury Wolves acquired 17-year-old, 2016 first round defenceman, Peter Stratis from the Ottawa 67s in exchange for four picks on Jan. 9.

In a separate deal on Tuesday, the Wolves sent 19-year-old defenceman Reagan O’Grady to the Mississauga Steelheads for a return of three picks.

“We are very excited to add another first round draft pick to our defensive core, who will step in and have an opportunity to have an impact this season,” said Rob Papineau, Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager of the Sudbury Wolves.

“At the same time as we are excited to see Peter arrive, we traded away veteran Reagan O’Grady who was a good teammate and a solid community contributor.”

“I am super excited to get up to Sudbury and join a team that is moving in the right direction,” said Stratis. “I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates and learning more about city that Coach Norm Milley here in Ottawa has told me so much about.”

Stratis is expected to arrive in Sudbury Wednesday in preparation for the team’s road game vs. the Barrie Colts on Thursday. Fans will have their first chance to see the young right-handed defenceman when the team hosts the Mississauga Steelheads and the return of Reagan O’Grady on Friday.
