The Palladino Auto Group Golf Classic was once again a huge success, raising more than $150,000 for NEO Kids on July 27.

Close to 150 golfers participated in a day of fun golf, and entertainment in support of NEO Kids at the Idylwylde Golf and Country Club.

With a goal of matching the funds raised from last year’s tournament, which was $120,000, the Palladino Auto Group Golf Classic more than surpassed that goal. In total, the golf tournament has raised close to $375,000 since its launch in 2015.

“It has been an honour to continue to support NEO Kids through the Palladino Auto Group Golf Classic for NEO Kids and we look forward to continuing to do so for years to come,” said Vince Palladino, President, Palladino Auto Group.

“The health and wellness of the children and youth in our community, should be our top priority. This golf tournament is about members of our community coming together to support NEO Kids.”

In November 2016, Vince Palladino along with his wife, Melissa, and his family pledged $500,000 to NEO Kids Foundation, furthering their commitment to the health care needs of the children in the community.

“We are extremely grateful for community leaders like Vince Palladino and the team at Palladino Auto Group who continue to support our NEO Kids and help keep them closer to home,” said Mick Weaver, chair of the NEO Kids Foundation.

“On behalf of NEO Kids Foundation, we would like to thank the generous sponsors and participants of the tournament who are bringing us closer to our dream of one day having a centre dedicated to pediatric care here in northeastern Ontario.”

The goal of the Palladino Auto Group Golf Classic for NEO Kids is to raise funds for pediatric services at Health Sciences North.

It also hopes to bring awareness about the health care needs of the children in the community and the growing need for specialized services in northeastern Ontario.
