Petes and 67's in town this weekend to face off with Wolves

The Central Division-leading Sudbury Wolves host the Peterborough Petes and Ottawa 67’s this weekend in double-header action at the Sudbury Arena. 

The Wolves will kick off the weekend Friday night when they host the Petes at 7 p.m. 

The Ottawa 67’s will arrive Sunday afternoon to make their one and only appearance of the season in the Nickel City. Entertainment will start at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon while puck drop is at 2 p.m.

The Peterborough Petes rank fourth in the Eastern Conference, just three points behind the Wolves. The Petes are led by third year defenceman Matthew Timms who has notched 11 points in 10 games this season. 

Up front they are led by Florida Panthers prospect Jonathan Ang. In net, Edmonton Oilers prospect Dylan Wells stands tall between the pipes.

Non-perishable food items will be collected out front of the arena Friday night in the Toyota Tundra with donations going to the Sudbury Food Bank.

On Sunday, the Wolves will host the Ottawa 67’s. The 67’s are led by their 2015 first round CHL Import Draft selection Arthur Tyanulin who leads the team offensively with 16 points in 10 games.

The Wolves will also have to watch Ottawa’s 2015 1st Round OHL selection, Austen Keating who has 13 points in 10 games played.
