Photos: Spartans claim victory in their Northern Football Conference season opener

Oakville Longhorns defeated 35-26 at the James Jerome Sports Complex

The Sudbury Spartans broke into the regular season with a 35-26 win over the Oakville Longhorns Saturday night, kicking off what looks to be an impressive year from the boys in blue and silver. 

“Another season is upon us, along with all the hope that comes along with it,” said Sudbury Spartans general manager Bill Costello in a press release. “We expect this will be a very exciting and entertaining year as we have lots of amazing young talent on the roster and are looking forward to what the new season brings."

The Spartans play their next game in Sudbury June 1 at 7 p.m., against the North Bay Bulldogs.
